K&P's 2 teams duly completed their regular Rosenheim season in style - Sash's girls swamped what opposition there was to retain their Rosenheim Plate - the men,now under Waddington control, also dismissed the other teams comprehensively on home ground, making the Final easily. That Final takes place at Kingsmeadow on August 15th - all track runners M&W welcome, just turn up and PAY - Humphrey Waddington will be selecting the Mens Match Team.
MATCH - Men:K&P 67/SMR 45/BA33/E&E 27/Wal 18/TVH 10 and Women:K&P 47/TVH 10/SMR 6/E&E 5. And FINAL regular season TABLE - Men:SMR 33&321(Champs)/K&P 30&303/E&E 20&196/BA 19&192/TVH 12&121/Walton 12&116 - Women:K&P 35&246(Champions)/E&E 25&198/SMR 17.5&92/Walton 16&173/BA 12&36/TVH 6.5&16.

With the 3 musketeers back from Montego Bay,and with almost no competition,it was all too easy for the Girls - Dominique Blaize took the 100/SP (12.7/11.33)in reasonable fashion, hoping to return, after injury, to top class form for the last few weeks of the summer;Mary Iheke had a fine tussle with Susie McLoughlin(Williams that was),heading her over 200(both 25.8);Isabelle Hatton made her first appearance of the summer(Javelin 26.62); and Claudia Noakes equalled her recently-inaugurated U13 Girls Pole Vault record(2.40).
The Men were there in goodly numbers, with a few new faces and a vibrant Under 17 squad again in evidence. We only dropped 5 points out of the maximum - Maris Kuklis(400H),Chris Hall(100/LJ),Ron Taylor(800/1500),Gordon Lester(PV),Humphrey(JT) & the 4 x 200 all winning. Otherwise,John Burnett ran as good a race as he has run this summer, just failing to catch Will Clark(E&E) over 3000(9.15.9);there were promising debuts from Martin Weighill(U17),Akim Williams(U20) & Daniel Campbell over 100;Tom Parry(U17) took a further 4/10ths off his 400 Hurdles;Maurice Joyce(M60) was over 2m60 in the PV;Peter Wilkins took another bit off his 1500 for 2007;the other U17s - Patrick Hillyer/William Trimble/Jake Budd - performed to good effect; and Alex Hatherley reappeared from darkest Luton University.
